The investigations on optically nonlinear matter breaks down into 4 parts:
At low temperature grown GaAs (Lt-GaAs) as fabricated and characterized at the
Paul Drude Institut Berlin is characterized by unique
properties that are of special interest for instance in the development of ultra short pulse lasers. Another
project dealing with technically relevant matter is the investigation of
colloid-doped glasses.
Two of our projects are testing systems on which the nanostructure governs the photophysical properties:
dye aggregates and semiconductor colloids.
