What:
Getting the 25 independent lasers of a bar into coherent emission.
Why:
Scaling in optical power of semiconductor lasers without loss of beam quality.
How:
External resonator with resonatorinternal diffractive optic
Ansatz:
Diffractive optic generates 25 identical copies of the light that returns from the outcoupling mirror. Each will be
amplified separately but with fixed relative phase. Therefore, they can be reunited into one beam.
